Reviews/Feedback:
works better than anything else ive had so far
Was using OTC Zantac for about 3 months then doctor wrote prescription for Ranitindine 1 year ago, generic is very cheap and my Insurance covers it. It works extremely well, I don't dare try to sleep without it. More effective for me after meals. Finally got an EGD done and was just diagnosed, with erosive esophagitis, hiatal hernia and ulcers so they now want me to start Nexium but I think I will remain with Ranitindine...it is THAT good! and no warnings about bone issues as with Nexium, etc.
Very effective drug. Stopped heartburn in its tracks.
this medication worked well in about a half an hour for my acid reflux and indigestion.
This medicane helps a lot with my condition
This is the only medication that I can take and it relieves ALL of the pain associated with my acid reflux, heartburn and ulcers. I recommend this medication when the Tums, Rolaids and milk no longer works for you. I was paying around $17 for the over-the-counter medication (Zantac 150) but since Wal-Mart is offering low-medication prices, I get my prescription for just FOUR DOLLARS for 60 tablets. Highly recommended!!
The hiatus hernia diagnosed were same as those had during to cardiac arrest. To prevent readmission for heartburn symptons I take ranitidine first when occurs . Hopefully won't be another cardiac as single.
the best stomach medicine i have ever taken over the counter
Ranitidine 150MG TAB There are Great!
Quick and comforting relief. After 3 min I forgot I had heartburn.

Long time heartburn sufferer. Very concerned about long term use and side effects.

Drug Uses

Ranitidine is used for treating certain conditions that cause your body to make too much stomach acid (e.g., Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). It is also used to treat ulcers of the small intestine that have not responded to other treatment.

How to use

Use Ranitidine as directed by your doctor.

Take Ranitidine by mouth with or without food.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Ranitidine.
Drug Class and Mechanism

Ranitidine is an H2-receptor blocker. It works by blocking the action of histamine in the stomach. This reduces the amount of acid the stomach makes. Reducing stomach acid helps to reduce heartburn, to heal irritation of the esophagus, and to heal ulcers of the stomach or intestines.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Ranitidine and are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Storage

Store Ranitidine between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Brief storage at temperatures between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is permitted. Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Ranitidine out of the reach of children and away from pets.
