Reviews/Feedback:
works well but i have concerns about side affects
Wonderful! I started on depo some years ago, and I can't imagine being without it. I've been on it longer than I actually had my menstrual cycle, so I don't experience that "akwardness" about my body that others claim they have. There's nothing more pleasing to me than knowing that I don't have to soak my panties in the sink, or make midnight trips to the nearest open store for feminine products. Another great thing.. I don't suffer from any PMS symptoms.

The main reason depo was decided was because a.) I'm a smoker, and it doesn't pose the same risk as the pill does, and b.) it's so much easier to not forget to ge it. It's not that birth control pills are hard to remember, it's just that they're so easy to forget!
when i was on it before i got preg with my little girl i was on it for 3 yrs and never bleed but then i got off it to get preg and it took 1 1/2 and now that im on it again i have not stoped bleeding and my little girl is almost 7 months old..
what is the medical answer for this question. How frequent should you have a bone density test while on the depo. My only bone scan was done 8 years ago. I am now 45. I fired my gyno because I felt betrayed by not having an additional bone density scan. I have a liver disease. I stopped the depo. I'm looking for the legal answer to my question.
Well I have always been irregular. I had my period for a few months then id stop having them for a few months on n off i would never no when it was coming. I was pregnat for about 4 months n didn't even know cause i was irregular. Well anyways its been about a 1yr n 1/2 since i had my baby and my periods are still irregular. My docotor recent prescribe me some prover 10mg 1 tablet daily for 5 days. I didn't have my period till about 4 days later. Im glad that the tablets work, but im very tired, my cramps are bad but not bad. I alway have headache a little dizziness, and nausea. Without the provera my periods dont feel like this or do i get these kinda side effects. Overall provera is effective.
WELL I BEEN ON IT FOR 8 YEARS I USE TO GET VERY BAD PERIODS WHERE I COULD NOT GET OUT OF BED. NOW I DNT HAVE A PERIOD. I DO RECOMMED YOU TAKE VITAMIN D. FOR YOUR BONES OTHER THAN THAT I DNT LOOSE MY HAIR AT ALL I HAVE MORE HAIR. SO ITS DIFFERENT ON EVERYONE WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT BODYS.I DO RECOMMEND IT I GOT PREGANT ON THE PILL TWICE SO THE PILL DID NOT WORK FOR ME.BUT REMEMBER TO TAKE UR VITAMINS SPECIALLY AFTER 30!! BUT BESIDES THAT IM HAPPY ON DEPO !!!I HAVE NOT GAIN WEIGHT AT ALL IM STILL THE SAME WHEN I WAS 18 IM 35 NOW AND HAVE 3 KIDS!!!AND IT DOES NOT MAKE ME TIRED AT ALL.
watch out for side effects.
Very effective! Depo-Provera has been very effective in keeping my endo at bay. I have had many different hormonal and surgical treatments over the past 15 years, but after I finally had to have a laparotomy (4th surgery), I decided to try Depo. I have Lupus, so my rheumatologist would not let me use any other hormonal treatment at this point (there is interesting research out there linking Lupus and Endometriosis, by the way). Downside: I gained weight. I think they project that you will gain about 5 lbs. a year. I had to be vigilant to keep it off. Upside: no more periods or cramps after the 2nd injection, no more buying any pads or tampons! I had some issues with my insurance company (Cigna) when they wanted to charge me a $60 co-pay because they considered one shot to be a 3-month dose. I have since switched jobs and insurance and that is no longer a problem. I don't enjoy going to the doctor's office every 12 weeks for a shot in the bum, but I do enjoy the results.
Trying to get pregnant. Using Provera to induce a period so I can start on clomid. What happens if your period never starts?!! I took Provera for 10 days and I've been off for 2 days and nothing's happened! What's the next step if Provera doesn't induce a period?
took pill for 8 days and started my period.
This medicine is AMAZING. After not having a period for 2 months, I took the 10 days of Provera and the day after my last pill, I started spotting and the next day my period came. Now, this is definitely one of my worst periods, but the fact that it came and now I can start TTC again is wonderful!!
This medication worked for me for two months I got my period again and the third month i was back to square one again. Going to see the Dr. in a week. Hopefully he has answers.
