Reviews/Feedback:
Works very well when I get allergic reactions to poison ivy - a life saver!
worked well for me
well i,just started this medication today and had this medication befor for the same kinda infection which clear up within a few days or weeks depending on how fast the treatment works or if i take, it when suspose to.
Was prescribed this med for viral rhinitis and fluid in ears (horrific headache and feeling that my teeth were going to fall out of my head). I'm halfway into my 3rd day of 6-day pack and it's helping to decongest my sinuses and ears, but not as much or as quickly as I expected and hoped. This is my first time with the oral pills (rather than nasal sprays) and I'm a little paranoid about the possibility of a bacterial infection setting in while this med affects my immune system's ability to fight it off. The upside is that while this med is working on my ears and sinuses, it's also decreasing my arthritis and lumbar disk (herniated) pain so I'm getting multiple benefits. The downside is that I'm a little hazy/foggy, have slight boughts of nausea (equivalent to motion sickness), my face is starting to flush, my coworkers say my face looks puffy, and I'm having difficulty concentrating.
Very recently diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (Berger's Disease). Prednisolone (50mg daily) was prescribed (along with blood pressure medications) in an attempt to reduce inflammation of the kidneys by suppressing my immune system somewhat. Side effects noticed thus far include inability to get to sleep until around 2am and slightly increased appetite. Also noticed an excess of energy during the day, though this may be the result of my blood pressure settling due to other medications (originally at around 210/160).
very easy to take.treatment was short and effective.
Used this medicin after sinus surgery. I just had a sinus surgery to treat chronic sinusitis. I often have viral and bacterial infections. The viral infection starts first then the nasal passages get swollen and they close causing a bacterial infection to follow because drainage of the mucus is almost impossible. Therefore Dr often prescribe antibiotics and oral steoroids. However, I am not a fan of either... in any case the surgery was just bound to happen and I finally did it. However, 1 week into recovery I got an infection and I am now on the oral steorid (Methyprednisolone). The good news is that I am not getting a bacterial infection this time (there is no green mucus for example). However, the inflammation is not really going away after my third day on this medecine. I would not to so quick taking it and next time I will try to use a simple Advil to reduce inflammation and the pain in my forehead. My Dr said that this is a strong medecine and would not really want me to take it... however, because of my recent surgery he wants to avoid scaring due to swelling of the sinuses of the healing tissues and that'w why I am taking it. I just wish it would work faster... because so far I am not feeling much better quite frankly. Side effects are not a problem so far.
Took this med for fluid build up in ear canal, due to sinus infection and the flu. Hearing has started to improve. And overall I am feeling better.
This medicine is a corticosteroid used to treat swelling, itching, redness, and irritation of the eyes and eyelids. This is the second time I have used the taper pack for my back pain associated with Fibromylgia. After the first pack, my back pain was almost unnoticeable. I was thrilled. Once again, my back was so poor I could not stand at the kitchen sink and loss the dishwasher without sitting down twice or walk my dogsore than a few minutes. It is day two and my back feels so much better! At my age, I had a few hot flashes fromthe medicine plus being tired on the first day . Glad for the relief from my back pain! Hopefully it will be another five years before I need this medication again. Have a quality day!
This is the only thing that stops my coughing. The coughing stops and I am fine for abt. 60 days. The coughing starts again. No one knows what causes the coughing but it is debilitating. I have used this drug every 2 months for the last year.
The mensicus in my right knee is deterioting and I will most like have to have another knee replacement (left done), I also have a bulging disc in my lower back. After the first day's dose, no pain. No serious side effects. Took this a year and half ago with same results. Better than surgery!
