Reviews/Feedback:
Worth it help it block vomiting.
works very well, better than compazine or reglan, but zophran works just as well. I have been on dialysis for years so I get very nauseas, but it works
Works great for nausea, can cause you to be drowsy. I take half a pill (12.5 mg) when I am nauseous, and that works perfect for me. I can still function normally with that dose.
works great and helped me get some sleep
Works as additional measure Phenergan works well as a additional measure for my migraine after I have taken Zomig, painkiller and celebrex and when I need that last kick of medicine to control the pain. It usually does the trick. By it self it isnt enough.
With nausea or vomiting, this medication works within 15 minutes to calm and relax me, stopping the nausea, and allowing me to get on with everyday activities.
Was prescribed this medicine after having nausea so bad I was hospitalized. First time i took it i was knocked out with in 30 min and slept like a baby. Every time I get severe nausea now i take a 12.5mg tablet. Though i dont get nauseous often, this really helps when i do. However only after taking 3 tablets i think im growing resident to it. I don't get knocked out like the first two times. Kind of wish i did, haha.
Was given phenergan IV in hospital. VERY hard on your veins and if you have a sensitive IV site, using this med more than a couple of times will likely cause the IV site to fail or infiltrate, causing a new IV site to be found. The exception is when the nurse gives this drug, they need to 1) dilute it with saline--very important and 2) administer it SLOWLY. This is a very painful drug in your IV line not just when it hits your vein, but you can often feel it as it travels through your system, burning all the way. Please, for your own sake, ask the nurse to dilute and administer it slowly both for your own comfort and for the longevity of your IV site. I am a very difficult stick for getting an IV line in, so I have learned to do whatever I can to preserve one that is in. Anything beats them having to go to an IV in your neck. Not a pleasant experience! Hope this helps!
Took it for nausea only. I used Phenergan suppositories AND pills for nausea. The sleepiness would last for days, though. It did help the nausea.
throat pain that don't go away with other meds. get more releif faster.
