Reviews/Feedback:
Works well for me A doctor had prescribed this for me when I had Lyme disease and was having horrific headaches. He told me to take it if I had breakthrough pain from Zomig. Since then I have used it with rather good results. Motrin, Tylenol or Excedrin do nothing for my migraine pain especially the menstrul ones but Alleve or Naprosyn definitely help. The only problem is too much of it can give me acid reflux.
Works If rotated It works if I rotate it with other meds.
Very good experience. Naproxen was prescribed when I had a sudden onset of pain in my upper right arm that prevented me from lifting my arm in a forward motion. I couldn't even lift my arm to put the key in the ignition of the car.

One dose of Naproxen and an ice pack eliminated 90% of the pain. After a few days, my right arm was back to normal. I also noticed that while taking the Naproxen, the pain in my hands from Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis was greatly diminished.

I plan to ask my doctor if I can continue Naproxen for my arthritis pain when I go for my next visit.
This Medication Has Been Wonderful ! ! I just started using this med a few months ago and it has been wonderful for me! I had been taken off another med I was taking for OA due to another medical concern going on. Another doctor working with me started me on Naproxen and I was really amazed at how it worked! My OA is in my ankle due to a car accident....that lower leg has been horribly swollen for 4 yrs. as well. Nothing had helped. This Naproxen has gotten rid of the swelling in my ankle where the OA is as well as in the lower leg! Occasionally, due to weather or something there is a problem with swelling, but that is SO much better than EVERY DAY !! I would recommend this to anyone to at least ask their doctors if they can try. I've had no side effects from this and that's great. (I also take several other medications)
This drug worked well on taking care of my pulled bicep pain, but after 7 days of taking it, I developed a tight chest and some anxiety.
Stomach Pain Effective but upset my stomach.
2006 update. I am now on a slow release version of this and have good result with it. I don't take it every day but keep it for flare up as addition to pain relief,so I have some back up before prednisone.
Seems to work Been on this for 6 years, seems to keep the swelling down. I haven't experienced any side effects but have been told it is hard on the stomach for some. Usually feel relief within an hour of taking the med. I take 2 500mg/day with others.
Pretty good Only switched from apo-nifed(?) when wanted to get pregnant, as it is safer on the stomach and no effect on a fetus. Prefer the more hardcore drugs for instances of pain, which only happen every now and again. Overall not bad - it does work, just not as good.
Only marginal pain relief for osteoarth Doctor recommended Naproxen instead of Darvon. Tried it. Helped some but not a lot.
OK Occasionally have some stomach pains which doc attributes to Naproxyn in the absence of any other discernible cause
NO tummy probs here! I was given 500mg of naprosyn 2xday over a month ago when my hands were like the STAY-PUFFED MARSHMALLOW mans...and diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. The swelling went down within 2 days and the pain is well taken care of.
New medication, waiting to see long term results. So far, it has helped me by not getting to the level of not being functional. I take at onset of the pain and by 15 minutes it has gone away. Since I got the prescription, my headache had not passed the 6 mark, with 10 being the worse pain ever.
Side effects have been a bitter taste in my mouth and a tad dizzy.
