Reviews/Feedback:
Works for me I have been taking 100MG of Luvox each day for 6 years. I had to VERY gradually get up to full dosage when I started but it was well worth it. I had tried other SSRIs and finally found Luvox. It didn't really make my OCD symptoms go away but it has made me a consistently happier person.
Worked well for depression and anxiety. Really helped stop my negative thinking and made me feel better and more like my "real" self. When I started it or increased dosage I got tired and a bit nauseaous, but that went away within a week. This drug was a life saver to me, the only downside was that after over 4 years it pooped out on me.
Worked exceptionally well for almost two years. Have found that it has become less effective now and am seeking ways to support what the medication does. Am at 200mg, went to 300 for a while but didnt like the way my personaliuty changed in certain ways. Sexual function was also affected on the higher dose

Have since returned to 200mg, and am experimenting with timing of dose, what foods affect the drug, what other items ingested affect the drug (ie Fish oil tablets when taken at same time as dose, seem to affect the initial uptake of the drug). I have for the time being found that taking the dose 5-10mins before breakfast with water, then having Fish oil tabs after breakfast seems to improve the uptake.

I also found that since taking the drug hayfever seemd to return, and have since swicthed from Dairy milk to Soy Milk. This appears to have reduced the hayfever response to the point I rarely need a Hayfever med
Very effective Xanax is very effective for anxiety and panic attacks. Straight and simple, it just works.

Its very fast and quite potent. Its also safe to use in conjunction with most SSRIs.

I recommend that it be only used on a casual basis, as some people find dependence creeps up quite quickly when used every day. I use it 2-3 times per fortnight, in conjunction with an SSRI.

Anti-depressants, therapy, exercise and lifestyle management are the best treatments for anxiety disorders, but when you need something that works in the short term, or something to assist you with proper management techniques, you cant go past xanax.

Always use as your dr directs though, of course.
this medication helps me not check the stove as often and helps with unwanted thoughts
this medication def causes the least amount of sexual dysfunction out of all the ssris or snris.. however i found that once you get above 200mg the sexual side effects start to appear..however it is a very potent ssri...stopped my panic attacks dead in their tracks after only 3 days..def more sedating than most ssris..better to take at night..i did have some weight gain issues...however when i switched to the cr version my weight was more easily managed. i have been on every antidepressant out there...and this was the best..probably because it really didnt affect my libdo as bad as the rest...i would def reccomend it..good luck!!
This drug is back on the market as of 2007. very effective and worth a try. Works differently then other ssri's
This does help with OCD. I do not ruminate or obsess persistently about the same annoying distracting and useless thoughts. It also helps with my anxiety and a little with ADD. Mainly, it makes me a little less anxious, so I don't worry (obsess) as much, and my attention is a little better (I don't forget my keys or wallet as much) b/c again, I am less anxious. But I need more, so I am taking VERY small amounts of clonazepam, and address the ADD with Strattera (Atomoxetine). My doctor is doing a great job so far, and we are taking small steps, very gradually.
The worst thing about Luvox is its availability- or lack thereof. Often, I can't find a place having it in stock and if you come off it entirely..... sick hardly comes close to describing how I feel. Otherwise, it is the only med I have found that helps my obsessions.
The "Wonder" Drug Luvox made my life so much easier. Not only does it keep my depression away, it also helps with my chronic tension headaches and my fibromyalgia.
Taking Luvox for first time. Hello, I just started taking luvox. It's the first drug I have ever taken in my life that wasn't over the counter. I have been diagnosed with mood disorder and OCD. Is there anyone out there taking luvox for the same reason that could fill me in a little...Thanks, Brandi
taken for O/C and focus issues Seemed to work rather well. I became more focused, although I had to follow with something for depression since I was letting the O/C (dream-like state) take over to escape from my depression. They are going to discontinue Luvox, and I had problems taking the generic. Not sure what I'm going to do.
