Using Levaquin is VERY effective for me because I cannot take Penicillin. My stomach is sensitive-and I take Leviquin with 'some' food to avoid an upset stomach.

This medication also jas made me very nauseated so now I split the pill and take half in the morning and half at night, both times with something to eat or a large glass of milk. Seven days ago I went to see a specialist b/c I have now had 3 colds in the last 2-3 months. I have a simple sinus infection and was given Levaquin for 10 days - 3 extra days to the usual 7-day treatment 'just to make sure'. PSA test before taking was 5.24 - after taking one 750 tablet each day for 21 days my PSA test result was 1.22. Only side effects were a tinny taste in my mouth, minor muscle soreness and a slight swelling in ankles. A small price to pay vs the prospect of possibly having prostrate cancer!
