Reviews/Feedback:
works works for me, better than plaq.
works for me I've been in remission since starting this drug about 8 months ago (with a little help from prednisone in the beginning). The only side effect I have is tiredness which has improved since I started taking the dose at night. This is definitely working for me.
Working beautifully! I have been on Imuran for polymyosistis induced from Lupus. September 2003 is when I started it. It is working beautifully! With the combo of Imuran and Plaquenil I am now off of all the Prednisone!
who knows? I agree with many people who have already rated this drug: I'm not quite sure it's been effective.
General warning for people on immunosuppressants: if you are on a several at once (or high dosages of Prednisone..around 60mg/day) make sure you don't stay on them for extended periods of time. I was put in that situation at one point and came down with Shingles as a result. Make sure you make your doctors accountable.
Well I think it did work for me cause I never had any side effects from it. It kept my lupus in remission for 5 years and so far I'm doing just fine. If you have Sle like me then I would recommend this medicine for you. Because gauranteed it would help you in some way.
Treatment is good, just worried about taking it for a long period of time.
this prescrip. seems to work well for me in keeping down the inflammation in the my system.
This medicine took months to improve my Ulcerative Colitis and I'm still not in remission. So my doctor had me go up to 150 mg. and now my hair is falling out.
This drug worked well for me in relieving my Crohn's disease for a couple of years. The side effects were minimal, though I did catch colds much more easily and did get a case of chicken pox, despite having them previously. Unfortunately, it has stopped working as well for me. We don't know if we should edge up the dose, carefully, because of previous low white blood count on 6-MP or if it is time to move to Remicade or another treatment.
The fact is that i dont have any problem since 6 years related with lake of immunity - I take 200mg day - in Portugal it costs 0,00 since is seld together with another medical product, such as Rosilan or even Colchicine Houdé - I take both
Started taking Imuran, and after 6 weeks,it took effect and has helped me get off prednisone completely- thank god. At the 6 week mark- I did experience some pretty severe shortness of breath and chest pain- but after 8 weeks- the symptoms completely went away. Am in remission now after changing my diet, (great taste no pain- which I I highly reccommend) cutting out coffee, and increasing exercise. Am thinking about starting Remicade treatment since you cannot be pregnant on Imuran- but it has really helped me feel normal again. Good luck to everyone else dealing with this- hope it works for you too.
Started after small bowel resection. 200 mg daily. No discomfort. Side effects: anemia, both iron deficient and pernicious. Take OTC iron supplement and get B-12 shot weekly. Still have breathlessness when climbing hills and such. Interacts somewhat with coumadin which I am taking for a-fib. Meds are a pain, but beats the prior discomfort and Remicaid infusions.
