Reviews/Feedback:
Swollen feet. Uncomfortable when frequently on feet and have to elevate due to elevated lab values of my liver.
Since taking I am constantly dry of mouth, craving and drinking water and having a ghard time sleeping at night
Once the nurse inject the furosemide in the vein, the medication took effect right away. I was admitted in the hospital to do the procedure. I had serious water retention where it effect the legs, ankles and feet(both). I was hospitalized for four days and within the four days the water retention was completely gone, and I was able to move around without the water weight. I was very satisfied. But now the water retention has come back.
my feet and legs swelled uncomfortably, after 2 days of 20 mg once a day - all was good again. I didn't have any side effects, but was on it for only a short time.
My Dr. prescribed 20mg. but take only a half at a time. My ankles swelled every day while sitting. I have a heart condition so when they swelled it was concerning. I have taken it for 12 days. swelling is controlled but nasuea, dizzy, feel like I have the flu. I started potassium 90mg last night. Not right yet but I am trying to get a handle on this an feel better. webmd posts help alot. Thanks.
Less swelling in ankles and breathing and taking a deep breath much better.
It took 3-4 days for it to start working for me, so I was starting to get depressed & discouraged & wanting to switch to something else... until after about the fourth or fifth day of weighing myself EVERY TIME after peeing (literally), I finally started to notice a slow drop in weight! I decided to stick with this medicine & it started working very good for me...so please don't get discouraged if taking this medication.
it made me nausiated and dizzy
it helps and stops me from water retention
I've been on med (40 mg) for almost one month. I sit in the bathroom for about an hour, then starts to wind down. Works for a total of about 3 hours. By evening my ankles and feet are swollen again. The legs and feet tingle and are weak. Not a good experience.
i was put on this med when i went into the hospital and was diagnosed w/congestive heart failure. a week later i woke up and from my belly to my knees were extremly swollen. dr told me to quadruple my dose and i peed out 7lbs of water over night, no joke!!!great med!!!
I too have severe food allergies, hay fever. My doctor gave me furosemide to help with fluid retention. My eyes would swell and itch so I took this for swelling. My legs began to hurt and tingle to the point it would wake me up at nite. My blood work was okay, since I take alot of vit./minerals, I was fine. But the pain was so severe, I had to cut way back on it, I was only taking 20-30- mg 4 days a week. I am a long distance runner and heavy exerciser, so the pain in my legs was not good. I just live with the water retention bcause the medicine caused problems.
