Reviews/Feedback:
Used drug for a serious tooth infection. Make sure you consume food before taking, medicine is very hard on the stomach.
This was perscribed to us for our 2 year old's case of pink-eye she caught at daycare. It was extremely effective at curing her infection, however application of a thick gel to a toddler's eyeball is, at times, darn near impossible. We struggled through it, and as I stated it cleared the infection up in less than a week.
This has been a wonder drug for my husband's Lympodema he has used it for 38 years and no problem with infection until they try another antibotic, The problem? Can't get it anywhere anymore. Help!
The doctor told me to use this as a treatment and preventive ointment. As a treament it's great, takes a while to work but really dries out the acne. This stuff does not prevent acne. In fact i found this stuff is so drying thats within a few hours my face is super oily to the point where i have to wash my face. And yes i do use a clear gel, fragrance free, oil free moisturizer.
Oral Erythromycin - Effective At Clearning My Acne I asked my doc fororal antibiotic treatment after years of using Aknemycin Plus (Erythromycin 4%/Tretinoin 0.025% Solution) with limited success. I initially asked for doxycycline, as I thought the bacteria were almost certainly resistant to erythromycin by now.

Howver, the erythromycin treatment was effective in clearing my acne to just a few pimples. During the first weeks of treatment, my acne deteriorated dramatically, with my nose swelling painfully and embarrassingly due to huge amounts of lesions swelling inside. Once these had surfaced and ruptured, my skin seemed to improve daily from then on.

I continued using Aknemycin Plus and Quinoderm (benzyol peroxide 5%/ potassium hydroxyquinoline sulphate 0.5%) topical treanments.

Three weeks post-treatment and I have only three small pimples. I am now also using Retin-A over the T-zone, and Quinoderm over my nose.
It has taken a month for me to really start seeing results, but i think it is working fine.
It has helped clear up sinus infections and intestinal infections.
I'm in my second week and i hate it. when i apply it my eyes water, kinda like when you get around menthol. it normally itches for the first couple of minutes. when it dries it flakes and peels like glue does after it has dried on your skin. doc says this is normal......
i'm 36 with oily skin. do not have chronic acne, just here and there. i've tried salicilic acid, benzoil peroxide, and so on... they've all worked fine, but this gel formula which was prescribed by my dermatologist, worked for me the best.
I used Ilosone (erythromycin) for acne. I used generic equivalent of Ilosone, got it online at International Drug Mart. It was really effective.
I HAVE SLOWED DIGESTION {GASTROPARESIS}. I USE THIS TO HELP PUSH MY FOOD THRU FASTER. I TAKE 1 TSP. A HALF AN HOUR BEFORE I EAT AND BEFORE BEDTIME. IT IS AMAZING. I WAS SO HAPPY TO FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS SO WELL FOR MY CONDITION.
I had acne on my face for 17 years and nothing else worked. I still use Mary Kay to cleanse, freshen & moisturize.
