Very effective product. I no longer fear long drives or boat rides since i started taking this product in 2001. It works for me much better than Gravol...
It causes extreme drowsiness within the first hour but after that I am fine.
this pill is my best friend, no joke
It tastes gross, but works extremely quickly. The worst side-effect is the drowsiness, but it isn't the worst thing in the world.
I was ale to stop the nausea and actually hold something down on my stomach. The dizziness and feeling of unbalance were not as strong as without it. I was able to move around and actuall walk during a venue.
I take this drug before half and hour before I go on a flight. By the time the plane takes off I am drowsy and sleep for most part of the journey. As I hate flying, it certainly works for me.
I take Dramamine for motion sickness (airplane, car, boat rides) and it works well. I prefer the Non-drowsy one though because it does tend to make you sleepy.
i have motion sickness anytime I travel. I have taken it for up to 18 days(on extended travel) without any side effects, along with other medication. The less drowsy formula for 24 hours is best
I have had a terrible migraine for 5 days. Last night before bed, I tried Dramamine thinking it would take away some of the nausea I'd been experiencing. To my surprise in about an hour the migraine was gone! I've just woken up to find that even the tightness in my neck is gone too! During the course of the past 5 days I have used the following to treat my migraine; Imitrex, Excederin Migraine, Phosphorus, A homeopathic migraine med from Whole Foods, Tai Chi and a visit to my Chiropracter. Each of the remedies worked to lessen symptoms temporarily, but left me with a tiny pressure that eventually returned as a migraine. I am clear of symptoms now and I had to share. I will post again if I find anything else of interest.I should mention I took Benadryl at the same time (my nightly ritual).

I am extremely prone to motion sickness; it has worsened considerably over the last 10 years - to the point that even a car ride of less than 1 hour results in severe queasiness for an hour afterward. Dramamine less drowsy has enabled me to fly and ride on extended trips comfortably - even when turbulence is encountered! I have found that it is more effective taken with food, and at least 1 hour before travel begins rather than 30 minutes. It does dry you out considerably, so be sure to drink plenty of fluids. It is also less drowsy, as advertised - it does not knock me out immediately, but I do feel more alert after a short nap on the plane. I highly recommend this product - it definitely works for me and has made traveling by other methods than driving my car an option for me again.
Helpful but Tricky I've taken dimenhydrinate on and off for many years, and it has helped me sleep at least half the times I've taken it. It sometimes causes a slight hangover and minor morning vision problems. But since I've become a hard-core insomniac, it sometimes results in strange dreams and is rarely effective any more.
Having had recurrent, sometimes severe vertigo over a period of 35 years, I've found meclizine as Dramamine to be the most convenient, and, considering lack of side effects, to be the most useful of all the antiemtics available. While other drugs have worked better for me for nausea, they all have the side effect of profound sedation. Meclizine (as Dramamine 25 mg or as Antivert, 12.5 mg) has worked very well, although sometimes does not entirely obliterate vertigo; it at least improves it to the point that I can function adequately.
