Reviews/Feedback:
Works, but makes me drowsy I gave Claritin (name brand and generic) a try for a while, but, like every other antihistamine, it starts to make me drowsy after a few days. I tried decreasing the dose, but then it's not effective.
works pretty well I like the generic.
Works pretty good! I used to sleep with rags in my nose (literally) because of the severe drainage, eyes would goop up with itchy sticky stuff. Got allergy tests and learned I am very allergic to dust mites, cat dander (love cats tho) and ragweed. So I started Claritin and problem solved. Now I only have to take one about once every 10 days or so. Costs a lot, gives you drymouth. I still have my cat and still live in dusty house and grass still grows weeds. Some things you just can't help.
works ok for children , when givin the correct dose. does seem to make them more hyper. did control cough, and stuff nose a bit.
works good It eliminates the hives and itchiness. The cost is abit high, but the generic brand works just as well.
Worked great, and then quit I took Claritin for every day for almost two years, and it worked great until after I had my daughter. Then something changed in my body, and now it has absolutely no effect on me.

Now that it's over the counter, if you're struggling with allergies, I think it's really worth a try if you haven't tried it before. It had basically no side effects for me, and apparently, that is quite common. And if it works, it works really well!

As with all these medications though, it's probably best to not take them if you're not having an acute allergy attack (unless your doctor tells you to take it every day). Not only do your liver and kidneys have to work fairly hard to clear these drugs out of your body, but you do run the risk of diminishing its effectiveness over time, as I did.

Now I take Zyrtec, and it works well, but I'm really afraid I'll go through the exact same thing again, where the medication will stop working.
Very good results with no side effects
This stuff is a gold mine! Fantastic! I'm new to the allergy business, as far as I can tell...this stuff is great! There must be pollen and other substances in the air at the moment, because all of a sudden, I started to get stuffed up and some hives as well! But the Claritin cleared up both conditions FAST! I'm taking the OTC/generic now and it works beautifully. If you are congested or break out in hives...try it! Much better than benedryl, because benedryl will probably make you sleepy and you don't want to doze off at work, etc.
This is the only medication that has allowed me to finally be able to breath easier. I have been so stuffed up my face sometimes feels swollen.
this is prabably one of the best over the coun ter dug the you can by for seasonal and non seasonal alergies i suffer from watering eyes and conjestion of the nose and when i take this pill i feel as if nothin were wrong with me to began this i highly recommend this drug
See Allergy- Pollen for my experience .

Claritin-D offers 24-hour relief for people who suffer from allergies and sinus congestion. It does this by combining Loratadine (an antihistamine) and Pseudoepherdrine sulfate (a nasal decongestent).
