Works with help I thought this was doing a great job. Then I ran out of work. Turns out the Buspirone combined by the fact that I had started self-employment was controlling my anxiety. When the work dried up the anxiety increased, but not to the point it was before starting Buspirone. I was having panic attacks nearly daily before starting Buspirone. Now they are equal or less than once a week.
works well for nerves helps a bunch
Works like a benzo-UPDATE This was the best mood stabilizer a doctor ever agreed to give me.
I'm going to stick by that, seeing as the FDA seems to have pulled the plugged on approval for topiramate as a mood stabilizer. I hope they obtain approval for some of it's off-label uses, quick though ;)
While I was on Zoloft and in grad school it really helped me to stop being a total &$*#$ to all my colleagues and overreact at everything. Well, there were a LOT of mitigating factors other than going off buspar (which I did in order to start Lamictal, because why take a drug that costs $140/month when you can take one that costs $500/month?) I can't just blame buspar. Someday I will finish my Remedyfind rap sheet and you'll see who to blame. J/k. Grad school is really really hard. You have to give it 200%. I'm disabled, I can only give it 100% percent best.
To be honest, right now, I feel like I could do to be on some of it. The only psych meds I'm *really* on right now are WellbutrinXL500mg and Topamax 200mg. And my OCPs. Guys can use the PMS for late night humor material for as long as they like, the Pill IS a psychiatric drug. At any rate, as I'm sure some have experience or heard, Wellbutrin tends to be a "rowdy" drug- and I mean that in all sorts of ways. Has anyone hear had a therapist take them aside separately with the foam bats to beat on a piece of wood and do anger therapy? Wow, what a ridiculous thing. I do have anger issues- I start being a smart ass, then screaming, then within 15 second I'm bawling. Oooo, and there's a huuuuge bottle of buspar in the medicine closet right now. (You shouldn't!) says the angel on my left shoulder. (It's just busper, not percocet!) says the angel on my right shoulder.
I wrote Cost effectiveness as N/A because I cannot afford my own meds--I always get samples.
Must have been getting samples back them. Well, I'll tell you. The first first time I filled a Buspar trade script, it cost 140 bucks. My next fil
works great ive had anxiety since i was 9 started to take this when i was 25 now 32 highly recomend
works for anxiety, along with lexapro and wellbutr along with lexapro and wellbutrin, it works all together as a cocktail
Works for anxiety Inspite of being on Effexor I was still suffering from GAD until my psychiatrist added buspirone.
WORKING WELL FOR ME Buspirone is not for everyone. Firstly, Buspirone is NOT an antidepressant. So if you're looking for a feel-good drug, you'd best move on to the SSRIs. The only depression Buspirone can help treat is that brought on by anxiety. In this way, Buspirone has definitely helped to give me a better quality of life. With my anxiety under control, I don't feel so helpless and trapped within my own limitations. I have what can be called classic General Anxiety Disorder. My anxiety is not necessarily caused by people or events of any kind. I simply stay anxious, no matter what...even when I am in a completely comfortable and familiar situation. Buspirone helps to minimize the racing mind and queasy stomach feeling that anxiety causes, allowing me to slow down, relax, and get a better grip on things. I highly recommend Buspirone to anyone suffering from anxiety. It's inexpensive, it won't shut your penis down like SSRIs, and it's pretty effective for me.
working I take Busiprone in conjuction with Wellbutrin. It seems to be working. The only side effect I have noticed is weight loss, but it's leveled off.
Worked well at first Buspar worked well for a while but after a while it stopped working.
Worked twice, then as useless as sugar pill BuSpar worked on a "virgin" brain, but not after two exposures.
I took BuSpar--starting with 5 mg twice a day, then 5 mg 3Xs/d or 7.5 mg twice/day--during a period of high anxiety back in 2000. The anxiety went away within 30 minutes of the first dose. I couldn’t believe it; I felt normal again. After the crisis was over, I gradually stopped taking it because I no longer needed it.
A couple of years later I had another personal crisis and got on the BuSpar again, but it didn't do much. I then tried the 30 mg tablets (10 mg 3xs/day or 15 mg 2xs/day), and I noticed a difference. So I took it for a while, until the crisis was over and I no longer needed it.
Then, a few years later I made choices that put my body under tremendous stress and the anxiety came back. I took BuSpar and to my surprise it did absolutely nothing, regardless of the dose.
PS: I experienced no side effects.
woks very well
When picking a drug, it is extremely important to keep your situation in mind, e.i, are you extremely anxious, are you somewhat anxious, etc... I cannot see buspar, when taken alone, relieving any symptoms for those who are extremely anxious. On the other hand, if you are like me, you perform all your daily tasks, but with presistant anxiety, then Buspar might be the drug for you. I take Buspar with other supplements such as Fish Oil and a few NeuroTransmitter precursors. If you tried Benzos, and SSRIs and hated them, you might to give Buspar a chance. Just remember to be patient, as the drug takes a while to start being effective (2-3 weeks).
May the Al Mighty grant us all the peace of mind we strive so hard to achieve.
