Reviews/Feedback:
Worked well wiht no noticed side effects
Why has Avapro oral been recalled?
While this drug has been affective in lowering blood pressure it has the side effect of lowering libedo to the point of severe ED.
Well I started this on 5/20 and I provided a review. It appears that this drug is less effective for African Americans and I asked the doctor why he would give me a drug that discrimnates against me. Anyway -- it is related to the kidneys and how the drug is processed within a brown person. So far the drug is working but I am very lethargic and I have mood swings (which is not good). I do not have energy and I just thought that this was just laziness settling in because I have been out of work for 11 months. I am going to continue to monitor side affects.
way too expensive. but it really works well.
Very effective. Bitter taste only negative.
used to treat my high blood pressure
Tried metropolol, lisinopril, first one made me so dizzy I could hardly function at work. 2nd one gave me a horrible dry cough, very irritating. Avapro 300 maintains BP very well, however, my doc also insists I take HCTZ 25mg with it and it causes my pulse to drop below 60. I live in very dry climate, thus this causes me to dehydrate even more with HCTZ and I drink a lot of water. BP still seems to go up a little at night. Should I ask doc to give me a 75 mg at night? Have been taking for over 5 yrs, and just recently started have aches in my legs right behind knee caps. Hope it isn't the med, cause I don't have any of the other symptoms.
this medication works fine it lowers my pressure to normal levels with no side effects
This medication really works.
This medication has effectively lowered my bloodpressure. I had some slight tiredness at first but adjusted to the medication quickly and was back to normal in about 2 weeks.
This has helped not having dizzy head and a persistent cough and generally doing much better with heavy head feeling.

Drug Uses

Avapro is primarily used for the treatment of high blood pressure but it is also prescribed in people with type ii diabetes to reduce damage to the kidneys, often delaying the need for dialysis and a kidney transplant.

Usage

You may take it with or without a meal. Blood pressure will only decline gradually so it may be a couple of weeks before you get the full benefit of the drug. So do not stop taking it until you get complete relief.

Missed Dose

You should try and take your doses on time taking care not to miss any. But if you do miss a dose, then skip it and continue with your regular dose. But do not take a double dose.

Storage

Store it at room temperature.

Overdose

The typical symptoms of an overdose are low blood pressure and an abnormally slow or rapid heartbeat. If you suspect an overdose, then seek medical attention immediately.
